The main attraction racing through Northallerton, heading for Newcastle: The A1 Steam Locomotive Trust's 60163 Tornado in charge of Pathfinder Tour's Tyne Tornado, which had originated from Cardiff, with a pair of DB Schenker 67's. 60163 took over at York, and got going only a few minutes late. The locomotive (built in 2008) is already making a name for itself, with a few successful tours under it's belt, and the prospect of many more to come. She also recently had the prestigious honour of hauling the Royal Train from York to Leeds, on the day of her naming ceremony. |
