Pictures taken on Friday 19th June 2009 and Saturday 20th June 2009 of two charters passing through Warrington Bank Quay.
Friday 19th June saw D1015 Western Champion calling briefly at Warrington Bank Quay for a driver exchange. D1015 was on her way to Inverness in Scotland, hauling the first leg of Pathfinder's Western Chieftain; a three day tour taking the preserved Class 52 diesel to Scotland for the second time in it's preservation career.
Then on Saturday 20th June 2009, Tyseley based GWR Castle 4-6-0 number 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcombe raced Northwards, with an early running Birmingham (Tyseley) to Carlisle charter (the Castle came on at Crewe, after the charter arrived from Birmingham behind 47580).
The collection also includes the usual appearances of DB Schenker locos around Bank Quay and Arpley.
