A two hour session at Warrington Bank Quay produced some good action.
Firstly, BR Standard 2-6-0 number 76079 sped through towards Crewe, running about fourteen minutes early. She was on her way to Crewe, where she was to head off to Machynlleth in Wales. From there, she is to work the 2009 season of The Cambrian.
Secondly, West Coast Railway's 47804 and 47826 top and tailed an ECS movement towards Crewe (47804 is featured in the collection, and 47826 is being mentioned for the record, owing to a poor quality, unpublished shot)
Thirdly, DB Schenker 66181 passed platform 1, with a scrap train in tow. It was sat at the North end of the station earlier on, with a few unknown problems.
Finally, West Coast Railways 33207 Jim Martin brings the Cambrian stock from Carnforth, towards Crewe where 76079 were waiting to join up.
In Arpley yard, Fertis 56018 was still knocking around, with DB Schenker 60087 Barry Needham keeping company.
Thanks go to Bradleigh Ennis (bradleigh10) and Sam Bacon (mststv) for the company and laughs. |
