On the penultimate day of it's 2009 operation, West Coast Railway's The Cambrian (hauled once again by BR Standard 2-6-0 number 76079) made it's journey from Machynlleth to Porthmadog and back, via Barmouth. 76079 crosses over Barmouth Bridge, and is later seen at Porthmadog.

Also at Porthmadog, the usual hustle and bustle of both the Ffestiniog and the Welsh Highland (Heritage) Railways was in evidence. Fairlies, Bagnalls and Pocket Rockets galore!

As Merddin Emrys takes it's empty stock to be shunted at Porthmadog Harbour station, three examples of the 1870's liveried variety can be seen. Nearest to Merddin Emrys is coach 15, coach 18 is in the middle, and coach 19 is nearest to the camera.
