The East Lancashire Railway laid on it's final diesel themed day for 2009, on Saturday 7th November.

Five diesels were out in force - ex EWS 37418 (Pectinidae) and 37109 doubled headed a few passenger services between Heywood and Rawtenstall, BR Class 24 D5054 was on top and tail duty (and also double heading) with BR Hymek D7076, and BR Railfreight 37901 Mirrlees Pioneer was also out and about with a demonstration goods train.

Thanks to HSTJohnny, Luke McMahon, Dave Martin, Chris Gallagher, Bradleigh Ennis, Mike Williams, Tom Donnelly and Mike Hanable for the company and laughs.
